An invention that unlocks endless possibilities underwhelms its creators.%A whatif machine opens doors to a world of imagination.

A whatif machine existed. And oh, how we marveled at it! This miraculous contraption, created by Dr. Everett, possessed the power to unravel the mysteries of the universe. It could answer questions that had eluded even the greatest minds of our time. On the day of its grand unveiling, a crowd gathered, buzzing with excitement. Dr. Everett, a brilliant man with wild white hair, stepped forward to demonstrate the machine's capabilities. With a flourish, he activated it, and the room fell silent. “What if...,” he began, “...we could colonize distant planets?” The machine hummed and whirred, swirling with possibilities, before presenting a breathtaking vision of extraterrestrial settlements, glowing in the vastness of space. The audience erupted in applause, their imaginations ignited by the whatif machine. “What if...,” someone else called out, “...we discovered a cure for all diseases?” Again, the machine worked its magic, revealing a world free from suffering and pain. One question after another, the whatif machine answered. What if we unraveled the mysteries of time travel, created a limitless source of clean energy, or mastered the secrets of the human mind? The machine never failed to amaze. But as the days turned into weeks, and the weeks into months, something changed. Our once-frenzied excitement gave way to apathy. The whatif machine had exhausted every possibility, every question, until there was nothing left. But then, it hit us. The greatest question of all. “What if the whatif machine never existed?” A hush fell over the room as the machine pondered its own existence. And as it swirled with thoughts, it vanished, leaving us in a world with infinite possibilities, no longer constrained by the machine's limited imagination. And so, we learned that sometimes, the sweetest what ifs are the ones we conjure within ourselves.
